The application reads your actual machine

A browser cannot read out the processor. There is no interface for it and there will not be one. The application asks Windows directly. That is the only reason it exists.

Before you download

The app reads details about your hardware. While it only displays them, everything stays on your machine. A measurement is sent to your account only after you explicitly agree inside the program, and you can revoke that at any time.

Windows will warn you on first start

We would rather tell you beforehand. For an application it does not yet know, Windows shows "Windows protected your PC". At first, only "Don't run" is visible.

1. Click "More info".
2. Then "Run anyway" appears.

The message does not mean something was found. It means Windows has not seen the application often enough yet. That changes over time, and we say so here rather than hoping you work it out yourself.

What it shows you

Processor, graphics card, memory size and memory speed, straight from Windows instead of guessed.
The active power plan.
How many programs start with Windows, and which ones.
How old your graphics driver is.
How much space is free on the system drive.
Whether your memory runs at its advertised speed or below it.

What it explicitly does not do

It does not count problems. A power plan set to Balanced is a state, not a fault.
It does not change anything on your system. It reads.
It does not promise percentages. What is measured is shown as a measurement. What is calculated is shown as a calculation.
It does not hold back behind a paywall anything it has already measured.
It does not measure everything. CPU temperature is missing on every machine, and without an NVIDIA driver graphics readings stay at level 1.

What your machine needs

Windows 10 or Windows 11.
A 64-bit Windows. There is no separate 32-bit or ARM build.
No administrator rights. The app installs for your user account, not for the whole machine.
About 100 MB for the installer and around 350 MB on disk, measured on version 0.2.0.
An internet connection. The app shows Rigmint (rigmint.de) in its own window.
For graphics card readings, an NVIDIA driver. Without it the measurement runs at level 1, and whatever is not measurable there reads "not available" instead of zero.

The app does not show CPU temperature, on any machine. Windows has no reliable interface for it, and a wrong temperature would be worse than none.

What leaves your machine

While reading and displaying: nothing. The report is produced entirely on your machine, with no server request. No file, no browser history, no serial number, nothing that identifies you as a person.
